Alexis Marie: 5 Questions with Alexis

1) Who is your style icon? 

   I never really had a style icon before. I never once in my life followed anyone with the style they had or did. I was always the one who created her own style. All that changed when I started watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and Kim had the perfect style, the style that I love and wanted to forevermore create for myself. 

2) What is your current favorite look/trend?

To be honest, I never went by trends or followed them, I always created my own, and if I wanted to show people what I created, I would. To be honest, frankly, I never did, because I don’t like people copying my look. I always live by a motto that I created for myself, live in freedom and you can conquer the world. This means always being your person, and never following anyone or anything. 

3) Where / What is your favorite place to save / best way 2 splurges?

My favorite place to save is from thrift stores, but my favorite thrift store is Goodwill, the reasoning is that I always find the perfect pieces to create the look that I want to create, if I could find all these pieces in black, I would wear them to work. Since I can’t, I wear them at home. When I want to splurge I simply go to Temu or anywhere that I can still save but get the pieces that I like.  

4) What are your go-to stable pieces?

My go-to stable pieces depend on the weather. I never tried to wear something that didn’t fit right. I always try to wear what I feel comfortable with, for example, if I like wearing something cozy, joggers, a hoodie, or tennis, I will, but If I want to wear something glam, like for example, leggings, a cardigan, lacy top, and knee high boots. But my overall go-to stable pieces, are capris, tank tops, and tennis shoes. But like I said I will always go by seasons. 

5) What are the most fulfilling moments as a blogger? 

I get to write what I want and I get to tell stories about fashion, beauty, and home decor stories that I know people will like and would want to know more about what they can do about themselves, their homes, and most of all how to stay on budget. If anything, I do love writing and telling stories about what I can do.
